The 40 Series are built in America using all solid wood, like all Larrivée's, and feature brand new upgrades like bone bridge pins, nut and saddle, diamond fingerboard dots and 18:1 open back tuners. It's a build that allows even further vibration of the soundboard, while still offering a controlled bass response. This means maximum strength using the least amount of material. It has a Sloped Shoulder body that meets the neck at the 12th fret, and features a 20+ year old AAA Sitka Spruce top from Jean’s private stash, Rosewood back and sides, an enlarged soundhole (4.25”), vine headstock inlay, a pyramid bridge and interior label signed by Jean Larrivee.
